Your Gateway to Planetary Geochemistry

Explore the depths
Welcome to the
Eve Geological Survey
Moon Data Centre
Mission
To survey every star, planet, and moon in the Eve space volume
and to provide a free service of moon mineral data survey information for all moons in all systems.
This allows capsuleers to plan where they wish to explore without needing to survey probe every space volume themselves.

To provide interesting education and context to the citizens of Eve on factual geology, geochemistry, and atmospheric science.

To foster learning, exploration, humanity, non-violence, and co-operation.

To advocate for an increased scope in non-violent interactions with planets and ecosystems in Eve.

To have fun.

Born into a wealthy noble family of Vherokioran lineage settled in a remote colony on Shousran III in Tash-Murkon, Xi Shan grew up privileged amongst the poor masses. Her family were zealous Minmatar converts to the Amarr faith, ashamed of their ethnic heritage.
Despairing at the state of the education system in backwater Tash-Murkon, the young Xi was dispatched to Hulm VIII, moon II Republic University. Initially she was to study psychology with a view to a career in diplomacy, however, despite being a gifted student Xi despised the narrow lens with which academic psychology interprets the Universe. She changed subject to geology, advancing to geochemistry. An exceptional student, she passed her doctorate with distinction.

Post study, she undertook a long pilgrimage, passing several years in worship and spiritual retreat at the Sisters of Eve Holy Sangha headquarters in Pure Blind region. Later extending this contemplative retreat to the Sister's sanctuary complex in Thera wormhole space, and she still sees this as her home base.
During this pilgrimage she met The Watchers Beyond The Gate, and is rumoured to have passed through The Gate and returned with a changed and spiritually invigorated soul; despite losing both her arms, her eye, and receiving spinal damage during Gate transition. The details of these events remain shrouded in secrecy, and neither Xi nor the Sisters will elaborate. Much to the senior Sisters embarrassment both local citizens and junior clergy of the Sisters of Eve began worshipping Xi as a living Saint.

In an attempt to stem this rapidly growing cult, the Sisters tasked Xi with a Great Work. This Work would be exceedingly demanding, but far more importantly it would be very very very remote, utilising her skills for the greater human good, and effectively removing her from her worshippers. The Sisterhood does realise the political capital and social propaganda benefits of possessing a Living Saint and encourage the title while simultaneously seeking to minimise her personal power.

This Great Survey is her task. The goal is to visit every sun, planet, and moon, conduct aerial survey work and geological assessment.
